Ondoy: Schools

Three public elementary schools were visited by RPLAI namely: Malanday Elementary School (Brgy. Malanday), San Mateo Central Elementary School (Brgy. Sta. Ana), and Justice Vicente Santiago Elementary School (Brgy. Ampid).

The officers and staff distributed supplies for the teachers, as well as cleaning materials for the classrooms. This was part of the on-going relief efforts of the company for the victims of typhoon Ondoy.

As the schools were not spared from the damage of Ondoy, the company purchased the needed supplies for the school, based on the interview with the principals. Each teacher received sets of folders, envelopes, class record, plastic covers, stapler, box of chalks, cartolina and rolls of manila paper. For the classroom, the company donated buckets, dustpans, soft and stick brooms and tape dispensers.

The teachers were visibly delighted with the bags of supplies they have received. They exclaimed that usually, it is the students who get to receive gifts from donors. They thanked RPLAI for remembering and valuing them.
