Fruition from Sison

Last May 22, 2010, the saints of CC Manila went to Sison, Pangasinan to present the Allegiance Drama to two barangays there, Pindangan and Bulauen West.

We left Manila at past 1 am and we arrived there at around 8:30.

We had a quick breakfast and the casts were then asked to prepare.

Here are the cast members:

The Mime

The Sailors

The Pirates

The Characters

And off we went to the "mission field"...

We walked for about 15 minutes to reach our first destination, Brgy. Bulauen.

We invited the people we met along the trail to come and see the drama. We also enjoyed the sceneries.

The Allegiance Drama, performed at Bulaoen West Elementary School. A lot of housewives and kids, plus a number of retired teachers from the school, went to watch.

Heart Mime, a skit about a girl whose heart was broken and trampled upon by her lover. She brought it to God and her heart was healed and made alive again.

We then headed to a field in Brgy. Pindangan. The sun was already high then and the people watched the drama under the shade of a narra tree. Some even sat on the roots of the tree.

After each presentation, the church members of CC Manila mingled with the locals to share the gospel of God. A lot of them responded to the message.

Life there is hard but we tell them that there is hope and that God loves them. We also prayed for them as we encouraged them to trust the Lord.

We were able to have our lunch at almost 1 pm. With chopped banana trunks as our plate, we enjoyed the meal prepared by the women. Sarap!

Siesta time! The group was asked where they would want to swim – at the river nearby or at a swimming pool. The kids were in unison in saying, “swimming pool!” Thanks to a dear brother for covering all of our entrance fees. Salamat!

At 5 pm, we bid our goodbyes to our hosts. The Lord bless them! Next time ulit…
